Welcome to the world Olivia!!! This little babe holds a special place in our hearts, because she belongs to Brent’s cousin Joanne and her hubby Mark. We were all anxiously awaiting her arrival and she’s finally here!!! I was afraid that we were going to miss her entrance into the world, because we were on a family trip with Brent’s family. To my delight we made it home in time!!! Yipee!!!
Another reason this family holds a special place in my heart is because Olivia’s big sister Isabel was my VERY FIRST newborn to photograph EVER. It means the world to me that Joanne and Mark trusted me to photograph their brand new babe. Photographing Isabel was the catalyst that began my newborn photography career…and look at how much I’ve grown and I even have my own business now!!! When I first photographed Isabel, I was still teaching full-time and doing my photography as a hobby. Now my life is the complete opposite. Photography has become my full-time career and substitute teaching is my hobby. 🙂

Olivia was the perfect little model who slept and slept for me!!! I was sooooooo excited to work with her because 1) She’s family, 2) She’s a newborn and y’all know how much I adore photographing newborns and 3) I had so many new hats and props that I wanted to try out with her!!! She rocked her newborn shoot and I have so many favorite images from her shoot!!! She was also my first babe that I got to use my orange backdrops with and I am in LOVE with how beautiful the oranges came out in the images!!! It’s so bright, happy and yummy!!!
