Reflections: 2010

2010 has come and gone in a whirlwind!!!  I cannot believe that the year is over.  It is 2011!!!  CRAZY!!!  It really is true that time flies by the older you get or with fun!!!  It has been 5 months since I officially “opened” for business.  It has been 8 months since I decided that I was going to make a career change, take a LEAP and start my own business.  Sometimes when I sit and reflect on the path I have chosen for my life, it’s surreal because I never would have thought that I would ever make such a huge decision in my life and take the road less traveled by…but I did.  And I’m LOVING every moment of it!!!  Many people ask how I’m doing and how is my business going?  Am I booking sessions?  Am I making money?  Can I support myself?  Am I happy?  Etc., etc., etc.  And the answer to all those questions is “YES!!!”  I’m by no means “rolling in the dough” nor do I have extra spending money outside of paying bills and purchasing other everyday necessities for my business and myself but I am supporting myself.  And I’m okay with that because I’m HAPPY.  I’m very content and satisfied with my life and my career despite the fact that I’m poorer than I used to be.  Besides, “poor” is a relative term.  I may be poor financially, but I’m rich in other ways and in my opinion more important ways.  I dare to dream everyday and some days those dreams really do come true…don’t ever stop dreaming…
