As a former educator, I understand the need for professional development and continued education. I strongly feel everyone has room for growth and learning throughout his or her career. Therefore, I researched photography workshops in a field, in which I would like to specialize and grow.
I recently had the pleasure of attending a 2-day newborn mentoring session/workshop. At my mentoring session I observed and learned about new posing and soothing techniques used in newborn photography. The poses are adorably beautiful. I would love to be able to master these posing and soothing techniques, but in order to do so I need multiple opportunities to build my repertoire in newborn posing and soothing. Therefore, I am holding a casting call for newborn babies 5-12 days old. If you are interested in a FREE session and willing to allow me to build my repertoire of newborn posing with your newborn, please email me at mindy@mindymetivier.com for more details.
Below are some images that I photographed at my newborn mentoring session. Please keep in mind that I did not pose these newborns—these newborns were posed by my mentor. My mentor walked me through her process of preparing and setting up for her photo shoots, soothing newborns, posing newborns and photographing newborns. These are examples of the poses that I would like to become better at and master in order to build my repertoire in newborn posing and soothing.
