Day One: Giving Thanks

Since this week is the week of Thanksgiving, I am going to spend my week sharing what I am thankful for in my life.  Today I would like to say that I am thankful for these two fabulous girls in my life!!!  Jen and Melo are sisters and they have been my best friends since the beginning of time!!!  The three of us became friends, because our families are good friends with each other since our fathers used to work together.  We grew up going to separate elementary schools, hanging out during the summers in Summer Fun, camping and fishing together once in a while and seeing each other at parties.  We were reunited in middle school.  Once we started going to school together, we were inseparable!!!  I would sleep over Jen and Melo’s house almost every weekend and their home became my third home away from home.  Aw the memories of staying up all night, talking story, laughing and giggling ‘til the wee hours of the morning and then waking up to hang out in the neighborhood or at the mall.

I am eternally grateful for my friendship with Jen and Melo.  Seriously, I don’t know what I would do without them.  These two girls have been there for me through thick and thin.  They are trustworthy and genuinely kind human beings who never judge me.  Instead they love me and accept me for who I am as a human being…the good, the bad and the ugly.  I never, ever have to worry about a “knife in my back” with these two girls, because they would never, ever do that to me nor to anyone else.  I always say that I am lucky to have a Jenny and a Melo, because I know that not everyone has a Jenny and Melo.  To have them as my best friends is truly a blessing!!!

Jen and Melo, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the two best friends anyone could have in the whole wide world!!!  You guys are my strength and my rock.  You guys are there for me 200% of the time.  Thank you for always listening to me babble (because I know I talk a lot…haha), for guiding me, for being a shoulder to cry on, for laughing with me, for making memories with me and for just loving me.  I love you guys!!!  Big, big hugs and lots of kisses!!!
