A New Addition to the Family | Hawaii Newborn Photographer

Jeannine contacted me a couple of weeks after Kellen was born.  She inquired about a family and newborn shoot.  I was thrilled to get Jeannine’s email, because 1) She was a prospective client and 2) She just had a baby!!!   Newborn shoots are one of my favorite type of photo shoots to do…which I will talk about in a later blog post.  I LOVE babies!!!

We began our morning with their family session.  I love the feel of these images!!!  The family + the love + the scenery = BEAUTIFUL.  Kellen was a trooper and didn’t fuss throughout the family session.  He just enjoyed being out in nature!!!  Unfortunately, we had to cut the family session a little short because the mosquitoes began attacking the adults!!!  Note-to-self: Next time I do a photo shoot here I must bring mosquito repellent!!!

Scott and Jeannine are so cute too, because they couldn’t forget about their first baby…Lady.  Can you believe that she is 9 years old?!?!  She looks like a puppy!!!  She is the sweetest little thing too!!!

Scott and Jeannine welcomed baby Kellen into the world in August.  He is their first child and he is such a cutie patootie!!!  Kellen was a little older than 14 days old (14 days old and younger is the best time frame to photograph newborns) so I was little worried that he may not sleep as soundly during our photography session and that he may not fit into my newborn cocoons.  He proved me wrong!!!  He slept through most of our session and actually only woke up when we changed him or undressed him.  Once he was warm and cozy again, away he went into his peaceful dreamland.   His mommy was afraid that he would be the first one to poop or pee me on me and my props, but he proved her wrong too!!!  Amazingly, I have never been pooped or peed on during photography sessions yet…and for some reason when I’m not photographing babies that’s when they poop, pee or spit up on me!!! Haha!!!
