One gorgeous morning in Hawaii, I had the pleasure of photographing this precious newborn babe. Meet Baby M. At the time of her session she was actually 4 weeks old 🙂 Any time I photograph a babe that is a little bit older than the usual “newborn” age I always get a little nervous. Posing older babes is not quite the same as posing a 1-2 week old babe. Baby M challenged me the first time around…she was pretty awake and alert the whole time. She came back for a second try and this time around she was soooooo sleepy 🙂 I am happy to say that we were able to capture fabulous images of this wee little one. I LOVE that I was able to capture her awake, alert and sleeping. She has wonderful eye contact and even flashed me a few smiles!!!
Don’t you just adore the karate images?!?! Baby M’s mommy and daddy own their own karate dojo—Kachi Karate Hawaii. The larger karate gi that Baby M is wearing belongs to her mommy. The smaller karate gi was custom-made by her Grandma. We also photographed Baby M with both mommy and daddy’s black belts 🙂 I LOVE the meaningfulness of each of these images and I LOVE Baby M’s facial expressions…too cute 🙂
Thank you to Baby M and her family for choosing me to photograph this very special time in their lives!!! I am so so happy that everything worked out. Your images are so very precious 🙂 Enjoy your images and may you have a blessed 2014!!!
