Day Two: Giving Thanks

The next two people I am extremely grateful for in my life are my two sisters, Lee Ann and Kristie.  I know that no matter what, through thick and thin my sisters will always be there for me…even if they don’t agree with my decisions 100% of the time.  We love each other dearly.  Yet there are days when we drive each other crazy and we want to wring each other’s necks.  We bicker over insignificant things.  We laugh over insignificant things.  We share with each other…sometimes freely and sometimes with strict guidelines.  We can count on each other for favors.  We can count on each other to be there for one another.  We understand things that others don’t because we have gone through the same experiences growing up.  We are forever sisters and forever friends.

If I think about it…life growing up would have been so dull if I did not have my sisters.  We share many memories together…probably more than I share with anyone else.  I cannot imagine my life without my sisters.  I love that I have sisters to be there through thick and thin.  I love that I have sisters to be there for family gatherings.  I love that I have sisters I can call or email with good news and they are always happy for me.  I love that I have sisters who love me for me….loud, crazy me!!!

Lee Annie and Kristie, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the best sisters anyone could ask for (most of the time…hahaha)!!!  One day we will be ready for another sister trip…preferably one that does not involve vampires and werewolves, long car rides and only one bed…hahaha!!!  Oh the memories!!!  I love you guys to the moon and back!!!

“Sisters annoy, interfere, criticize.  Indulge in monumental sulks, in huffs, in snide remarks.  Borrow.  Break.  Monopolize the bathroom.  Are always underfoot.  But if catastrophe should strike, sisters are there.  Defending you against all comers.” – Pam Brown

“A sister can be seen as someone who is both ourselves and very much not ourselves – a special kind of double.” – Toni Morrison

“A sister shares childhood memories and grown-up dreams.” – Author Unknown
