Life got the best of me these past few days so this blog post of giving thanks will be a combined post. I had intended to do two separate posts about them, but they won’t mind if I combine them into one post. The next people I would like to give thanks to are three of the most important people in my life—my mom, my dad and my grandma.
I am thankful for my parents because they are two smart, independent, loving and caring people who have supported me throughout my life. Without them, I (of course) wouldn’t be here, but I also wouldn’t have become the person I am today. They have guided me, helped me to make decisions, educated me, taught me life lessons, and supported me financially, emotionally and mentally. They have been there for me through thick and then. Even if they don’t agree with all of the decisions I have made in my life (and there have been many) they still stand by my side and love me for who I am as a person. Mom and Dad, thank you for all that you do for me. I love you to infinity and beyond!!!!
I am thankful for my grandma, because she is my second mother. She helped my parents raise my sisters and me. She always makes sure that I never go hungry. She always makes sure that I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back and money in my pocket. She has also guided me, loves me and supports me in whatever I do in life. She is one of my biggest fans and I am one of her biggest fans. She has shown me how to age gracefully and what kind of person I want to be when I’m older. She is a spunky, independent and headstrong woman in her nineties who insists on doing things for herself. Even if she’s in her elder years she still does all of her own marketing, insists on cleaning her house herself (seriously, she gets mad when we want to help and interrogates us about what we are doing to her house), does her own yard work, cooks, goes walking, sews and volunteers at church. She is my idol!!! Thank you grandma for always taking care of me…remember I’m here to take care of you too!!! I love you with all my heart!!!
